Sara Christophers was born in 1854 in Victoria, Australia – the daughter of Henry Christophers and Clara Louisa Marques Costa Soares.
She was living in Royal Terrace, Dunedin when she signed the suffrage petition, her occupation was given as housekeeper.
When Sara died on 22 July 1926 in Christchurch her occupation was given as retired receiving house matron.
Sara is buried in the Bromley Cemetery, Christchurch.
