Signe Martine Jensen was born on 1 September 1865 in Holbaek, Denmark – the daughter of Peter Jensen and Karen Rasmussen. (See 28 K Jensen)
She emigrated to New Zealand with her family in 1872 on the Palmerston and they settled in Dunedin.
When Signe signed the suffrage petition she was living in Palmerston, north of Dunedin.
Signe did not marry – she died on 26 October 1956 and was cremated.
Her ashes were interred in the family grave in the Southern Cemetery, Dunedin.
