Elizabeth Selina, known as Selina, Seal was born in 1866 in Portsea, Hampshire – the daughter of Thomas Henry Seal, a labourer, & Elizabeth Esther Malzard.
She emigrated to Otago with her parents in 1873 on the “Dover Castle” & they settled in Dunedin.
Selina was living with her brother & his family in Castle Street when she signed the suffrage petition.
A few years later she moved to Christchurch where she died on January 31st 1948.
She is buried in the Balcairn Public Cemetery in Canterbury.
