Sarah Ellen Randell (nee Nineham) was born in Dorset, England c.1847. She immigrated to New Zealand with her husband Alfred William Randell on 9 November 1877 to Lyttleton from Devon, Endland. Alfred and Sarah ran a Fruit and Vegetable (General Store) out of the Ashburton Town Hall during the 1880-90s. Sarah had three children, two girls and a boy in New Zealand. She passed away of the 14 Aug 1925 and was interred the next day in the Ashburton Cemetery.
