Sarah Jane Beaumont, the daughter of Walter and Caroline Beaumont, was born on 9 September 1866 in South Crosland, Huddersfield, Yorkshire, UK. She married Ingram Haigh at the Wesleyan Chapel, Netherton, Yorkshire, UK on 4 September 1888. (Source: Huddersfield Chronicle, 8 September 1888)
No record of the date of their immigration to New Zealand has been located.
Their son, George Henry Haigh, was born on 9 September 1999. (BMD 1889/8522) A record exists of the death of George Henry Haigh aged 2 days (Source BMD 1890/2797) This was possibly their son as no further record of him has been located.
On 19 April 1895, Sarah died aged 28 at her residence in Petone.
