Susan Donn was born in 1870 in New Zealand – the daughter of Robert Donn, a farmer, and Jessie Craigie (See 274 Mrs R Donn)
When Susan signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in Timaru.
She married, stock agent, William Murdoch Bruce on 22 June 1897 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Timaru.
They had three children and lived in Ashburton.
Susan died at their home on 10 October 1945 and William died in 1955 – they are buried together in the Ashburton Public Cemetery.
