Theresa Maria Johnston was born in 1863 in New Zealand – the daughter of Robert Johnston and Eliza.
She married William Peacock in 1882 and they had a son before they moved to New South Wales.
They had a further two children before they returned to Dunedin where Theresa signed the suffrage petition at Melbourne Street, South Dunedin – they were possibly living with William’s parents at the time.
They returned to New South Wales in 1894 where their last child was born.
By 1911 they had returned to Dunedin where Theresa died at her home on 14 March 1936 – she is buried in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
William moved to Wellington where he died the following year – he was cremated.
