Veronica BATES nee DIBBLE

John James MacDonald DIBBLE is my grand-uncle - after he service in NZ he returned to Australia he enlisted in ww1 - he returned to Australia where he lived at Fern Tree Gully and died in 1943. It is great to have knowledge of those who fought in our armed services. My father served in the CMF (Australia) from where he joined the Army for service in ww2 and he was in the Middle East and Borneo. After his return in 1945 he was discharged but he re-joined the Army and served until he was 60 years of age. He retired as Acting Captain after many years as a WO.
My brother served for 20 years and retired a Major and our son also completed 20 years of service and retired as a WO2 - these all in Australian Army. Cheers from Australia. Lest we Forget.
