In 1840 more than 500 chiefs signed the Treaty of Waitangi, New Zealand’s founding document. Ngā Tohu, when complete, will contain a biographical sketch of each signatory.

Hi team. According to T.Lindsay Buick, Bunbury and the HMS Herald landed at Guard's Cove, which is in Cloudy Bay. Guard's Bay is much further north. See here: http://www.gutenberg.org/files/41800/41800-h/41800-h.htm
