Correct - Eivers Road is same family. Still some Eivers in Whakatane district. Some Eivers also served Overseas in WW1. Some wounded including my grand father Herbert Joseph Eivers.

A William Eivers used to board with us at No.5 Douglas St in Whakatane in the mid to late 1940's for a short time. I assume he would have been in his 80's; and, is the same person. No doubt Eivers Rd was named after the family.
