"Fanny Preece" is very likely to be Fanny nee DOELL 13.11.1852 - 10.3.1929. Probably the daughter of Maria and James DOELL. Fanny on 17 Jun 1875 married Thomas PREECE b. 23.12.1851 prob. d. 5 Aug 1936. Tom was a farmer. The couple had 2 children; Emma Maria (m. John William DAVIDSON) and Frank (m. Lily / Lilian Evelyn STONE). The family moved from Riccarton to “The Glen”, Pembroke Road, on the north western fringe of Stratford, Taranaki in about 1900. Tom, Fanny, Frank and Lily moved north after a few years. They farmed at East Tamaki in South Auckland from about 1911. Thomas and Fanny were buried as Anglicans at Otahuhu.
