Absolutely loved this interaction and would like to add further to this biography:-
Anna-Marie Goldthorp (Mary Goldthorp) born 06.07.1861 in the village of Maniewo near Posen, Poland.
Only daughter of Paulina & John Guintow/Guntoff (soldier deceased) Immigrated to NZ aged 10 years with mother and stepfather Ernst Schmidt with 1 half brother, Ernst, and 2 half sisters, Anna & Auguste on the "Freidborg" sailing from Hamburg, Germany 1872 arriving in Lyttleton, NZ on 19th May.
The immigrant family of Ernst & Paulina Schmidt lived at Rangiora and he was a lumber jack. Paulina applied for Naturalisation in 1905 and signed with her mark..X

Anna-Marie and her husband Silas Goldthorp a Blacksmith (born 19.12.1852 Dudley, Worc, Eng) had four children and lived all their life at 52 Sewell St, Kaiapoi (working man's cottage since destroyed in Christchurch's earthquakes). Were staunch supporters of St.Barthlomew's Church.

Anna-Marie is my great-grandmother. Paulina is 2 x great-grandmother and Herbert Silas is my grandfather. I visited Anna-Marie's birth village outside Posen, Poland in 2006. I was not able to obtain any further documentation from Poland. But have solely relied on detailed records that Anna-Marie maintained along with photographs she recorded and her daughter May kept at 52 Sewell Street, Kaiapoi. I have various old photographs of this family also.

PS: I also met with the clever young chap whose programme he made(for the govt.) specifically for this purpose and he took a photograph of me using "his" programme :)
