On page 188 is the name Agnes Dorman who I now know is sister in law to Agnes G Borthwick Kaikoura on page 219 My great grandmothers maiden name was Agnes Dorman of Springfield. Hence the mixup which was found out after the panels were submitted. The error has been corrected.

Hi Jan - there are a few sheets that seem to contain duplicate signatures - see https://nzhistory.govt.nz/politics/womens-suffrage/about-the-petition for more on this. However, in this case I can't see Agnes on Sheet 188 (or on any other sheet) - can I ask where you found this information? Regards, Jamie Mackay

My great grandmother Agnes G. Borthwick is on this page sheet 219 and she is also on sheet 188. The G is for Grace. The odd thing is the signatures are quite unlike each other but I know both are her. She married her schoolteacher when quite young and I have fond memories of a grand old lady. She never talked of this to me.

Hi Pam - thanks very much for this information, I'll check those records now. The best way to contact us is by emailing [email protected] and we can add your biographies and images to the database directly. Kind regards Jamie Mackay

I have been researching the Kaikoura Women who signed the petition and on the Electoral Roll since 1993 and still adding information. I have a number of biographies and some photographs of these women. There a two that seems to be wrong. Trolove has Northbank as residence when it is Woodbank (Clarence Bridge) which is north of Kaikoura.
Jane Gunsle I think should be Jane Gumley
I have found 216 Kaikoura Women who were on the Electoral Rolls in 1893
I have put the information I have gathered into a printed book form. Which is the best way to add that information to your data-base.
