Mary Maria Knox nee Wedlake was born in Cornwall England to William and Sophia Wedlake in 1863. She married William Knox in Dunedin 23 August 1887. They lived around Dunedin North and had one son Lawrence McDonald William born 1894. Mary died June 1913 and is buried in Andersons Bay Cemetery with her husband who died in 1927.
