Mary Webber nee Lindsay was born at Cottage Coltness Wishaw Scotland 13 May 1865 to James and Margaret Lindsay. She arrived in NZ with her parents and siblings - three brothers and four sisters on the 'Wellington' arriving at Port Chalmers Dunedin Feb 1879. She married Henry Webber at St Pauls Oamaru in 1887 and the family lived at Ngapara, North Otago. Their children were Elizabeth 'Bessie', George William Palmer, Margaret Ferguson, Emily, James Henry 'Jim', Thomas Kenneth 'Ken', Estelle Rachel and Lillian Mary. Mary Webber was a full time farmers wife and involved with the local Red Cross. She died 25 November 1947 in Oamaru and buried in the Ngapara Cemetery with her husband Henry who died in 1930 and daughter Margaret who died 1963.
