Elizabeth Duffy was born in 1871 in New Zealand – the daughter of John Duffy, a waggoner, and Mary Wixon. (See 302 Mary Duffie)
She married Joseph Woolford, a labourer, in 1892 and when she signed the suffrage petition they were living in Hampden in North Otago.
Joseph was declared bankrupt in 1896 and they had four children before Elizabeth died at her home on 15 July 1900.
Joseph re-married the following year – he died in 1937.
They are both buried in the Hampden Cemetery.
