Mrs Walter Thompson (1847-1910) was born Angelina Walker, Parish of Seagoe, Portadown, Co Armagh, Ireland. She had 10 siblings. Her brother Robert Henry Walker (1850-1924) sponsored Angelina and their youngest sister Frances to come to NZ on the "Opawa" in 1880. Angelina became the second wife of Walter (1836-1917) whom she married at Salt Water Creek on 26 December 1882. They had 1 dau and 2 sons. Angelina is buried at Balcairn Cemetery. Walter's first wife was Louisa Waite (1839-1880). They had 6 sons and 4 daughters.
