Yes, you are correct - there are at least three sheets we've come across that appear to be duplicates - see more info here
The problem is that on close inspection these are not exact copies. It is a mystery why two versions of the same set of signatures would have been sent in, my best guess is that petitioners were asked to sign two copies and that one was supposed to be kept by the local franchise league, but in some cases they sent in both copies by mistake.
Archives NZ are currently undertaking a complete re-scan of the original petition. Once this is done we will have another look at any omissions and oddities like these duplicates. Once this has happened we'll probably remove the obvious duplicates from this database (around 200 entries out of 24,000) - making sure not to lose any community contributions of course!

I note the name Catherine G Cook of East Gore, Southland, appears on sheet 103 and again on sheet 109. This cannot be two different people surely
