Julia Edioun Cooper was born about 1866 in New Zealand – the daughter of George Frederick Cooper and Catherine Perry. (See 534 C Cooper

She married Charles Henry Beynon, a baker, on 11 May 1887 at the Trinity Church in Greymouth.

They had seven children and lived, at first, in Greymouth where Julia signed the suffrage petition before moving to Castlecliff, then to Wellington.

Julia died on 13 May 1949 at Coroglen, in the Coromandel and Charles died in 1959 – their place of burial is unknown.
