David Henry Cossar was my grandfather.
I well remember going to the Boer War Veterans Musuem in ChCh, part of the ChCh club I think, and seeing the exhibits and hearing tales from some of the old soldiers over a drink.
Sadly the "club was burnt down as I recall and so much history was lost.
