Farming locality on the Waipa River, 15km north-west of Te Awamutu.

Meaning of place name
Te: the; rore: snare. Waikato warriors ambushed a Ngāpuhi raiding party here and killed the famous Bay of Islands chief Pōmare, which may give rise to the name of The snare.
