On 8 August 1915 a roll of honour was unveiled in All Souls Anglican Church, Clevedon, bearing the names of all the men from the district who had so far enlisted. These included Robert W. Munro, who had been killed at Gallipoli.
After the war the original roll of honour was replaced by a bronze plaque bearing the names of six local men who had given their lives, listed in the order in which they had fallen: “To the Glory of God / and / in memory of / Pte R.W. Munro / Tpr. R.R. Jones / Sgt. M.L Waters / Rflm. T.F. Atkins / Lce. Cpl. K. Mohr / W.H. Williams, R.N.R. / who gave their lives / for / God and Empire / in the / Great War / 1914 – 1918.”
After the Second World War a second plaque was added: “Flt. Sgt. R. J. Hirst / World War II / 1939 – 1945.”
