Bessie Barrott was one year old when she arrived in NZ in 1874 with her family, the fifth daughter of Joseph and Eliza Barrott. Married at Eltham, Taranaki to Sydney John Henry on the 11 March 1895. She had two children one died at birth; she was 86 years old when she died 6 January 1959 at Manunui.
