Jane Cuff was born in New Zealand in 1868 – the daughter of Frederick Cuff and Elizabeth Bennett.
When she signed the suffrage petition Jane was living in The Glen area of Dunedin working as a tailoress. Her sister Ann also signed the petition.
Jane did not marry and she died on 23 April 1950. She is buried in the family grave in the Southern Cemetery.
