Jane/Jeannie Milliken was born on 1 August 1870 in Ballyrogan, County Down, Ireland – the daughter of Margaret Mary Milliken. (See 118 Margaret McMurray)
She emigrated to New Zealand with her mother in the 1870s where her mother married Alexander McMurray, a farmer.
The family lived in Milton and when Jane signed the suffrage petition she was working as a dressmaker.
She married William McIntosh on 15 August 1900 in the Tokomairiro Parish and they had one daughter.
Jane died on 9 February 1947, she is buried in the Fairfax Cemetery, Milton.
William died in 1955, his burial place is unclear.
