Elizabeth Hannah Reed (also known as Annie) was born in 1874 in New Zealand – the daughter of Joseph Reed and Elizabeth Ann Richards. Her sister Esther also signed the petition.
Elizabeth married John Lambert, a railway guard, in 1901. They had four children before they divorced in 1938. Both married again, Elizabeth to Ernest Edward Seon in 1939.
Elizabeth died on 15 May 1944 at her daughter’s home in One Tree Hill, Auckland. She is buried in the Hillsborough Cemetery.
