Annie Wedderspoon was born in 1869 in Perthshire, Scotland, the daughter of Janet (nee Sandilands) and Andrew Wedderspoon. The family emigrated to Otago in 1874, on the Wild Deer. Annie lived in Mosgiel all her life, and never married. She died on 29 July 1945 aged 77 years. She is buried in the East Taieri cemetery with her brother William and sister Elizabeth.
