This group photograph shows the New Zealand Army’s Special Air Service Headquarters Troop with the squadron’s mascot, a goat named Angus.
The photograph was taken at Waiōuru on 14 September 1955, when New Zealand’s recently formed SAS squadron was training for service in the Malayan Emergency (1948–60).
