Nga Tohu

In 1840 more than 500 chiefs signed the Treaty of Waitangi, New Zealand’s founding document. Ngā Tohu, when complete, will contain a biographical sketch of each signatory.

Ingo signed Te Tiriti at Port Nicholson on 29 April 1840. He was the son of Rangimahu and Urutahua.

It is not known when he migrated to Te Whanganui-a-Tara from Taranaki, but he lived in Wellington for much of his life.
