Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley
Christina Campbell Gow was born in 1859 in Victoria, Australia - the daughter of George Gow, a blacksmith, and Jessie Campbell.
Her family moved to New Zealand in about 1865 and lived in Dunedin. On 6 June 1883 Christina married Alexander Rennie, a butcher, at her parent’s house in Melville St. They had four children and lived for a time in the Milton area where they had a farm. Christina's sister Joanna also signed the 1893 suffrage petition.
Christina died on 2 May 1937. Alexander re-married in 1938, and he died in 1944. They are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
