Catherine Lyall Ramsay was born in 1865 in New Zealand – the daughter of John Ramsay, a surfaceman, and Catherine Duncan. (See 94 Catherine Ramsay)
When Catherine signed the suffrage petition she was living with her parents in Church St, Roslyn, Dunedin.
She married Wallace Carr, a miner, in 1906 – they lived in Alexandra then in Dunedin where Wallace worked as a watchmaker.
Catherine died at her cousin’s home in Waikouaiti, (See 102 Jessie Townsend), on 21 April 1919 – she is buried with her parents in the Northern Cemetery.
Wallace remarried in 1927, he died in 1941 and is buried in the Papakura Cemetery.
