Charlotte White Ellis was born in 1869 in Otago – the daughter of Stephen Ellis, a farmer and Catherine McLean McNaughton. (See 143 Catherine Ellis)
When she signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family at Sandymount on the Otago Peninsula.
Charlotte married John Adam Doull, a grain broker, on 26 December 1900 at her parent’s home and they had two daughters.
John died in 1934 and Charlotte died on 24 March 1964, aged 94 years. They are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
