Elizabeth Bridget Cain was born about 1865 – the daughter of Michael and Catherine Cain. (See 247 Catherine Cain)
She married Peter Martin Levorsen, a carpenter from Denmark, in 1877.
They had seven children and although Elizabeth signed the suffrage petition in Greymouth they were living at the time at Mokihinui, north of Westport and Peter was working at the Stockton mine.
They later lived in Lower Hutt, Eketahuna and Wairarapa before retiring to Palmerston North.
Elizabeth died at Palmerston North on 19 August 1933 and Peter died in 1944 – they are buried together in the Mangatainoka Cemetery.
