Anne Irvine Fleet/Flett was born in 1871 in New Zealand – the daughter of James Fleet, a labourer, and Elizabeth Turnbull.
Anne spent her early years in Waitahuna before moving to Dunedin with her family in the 1880’s.
When Anne signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in Walker Ave, off Stafford St, in Dunedin working as a tailoress.
Two of Anne’s sisters also signed the petition (See 54 J Fleet and 49 Bella Fleet)
Anne married James John George Scott, a joiner, in 1906 and they had two sons.
She died on 10 January 1945, and was buried in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
James died in 1851, he was cremated and his ashes buried with Anne.
