Jessie Robertson was born about 1831, she married George Fawcett, a storeman, in New Zealand in 1867.

They had six children, three dying at birth or in infancy. Jessie's daughter Harriet also signed the suffrage petition.

When she signed the suffrage petition, Jessie was living in Glen Rd, Mornington. The family later moved to East Taieri where Jessie died on 28 January 1914. George died in 1915 and they are buried together in the East Taieri Cemetery.
