Jessie Law Lockhart was born in 1864 in New Zealand – the daughter of James Lockhart, saddler, and Isabella. (See 104 I Lockhart)

Jessie married Alexander Scott, a labourer, on 3 October 1890 in the Milton parish.

They had no children and when Jessie signed the suffrage petition they were living in Milton.

Alexander died in 1930 and Jessie died at her home in Milton on 23 May 1948, they are buried in the Fairfax Cemetery, Milton.
