This is Janet Roy, sister of Rachel and Jane Roy who also signed the suffrage petition.

Janet Thomson was born on 15 May 1839 in Lanarkshire, Scotland – the daughter of John Thomson and Helen Crichton.
She emigrated to Otago on the Pladda in 1860 with her brother John and half- sister Rachel. (See 159 Rachel Nimmo)
She married David Roy, a carpenter, on 16 November 1865 in Dunedin and they had six children.
David died in 1911 and Janet died on 7 July 1919, she is buried with David in the family grave in the Northern Cemetery.
