Jane Christina McKenzie was born in 1867, the daughter of Alexander McKenzie and Christina Muirhead.

When she signed the petition she was living with her parents and two brothers in Helena St.

In 1895 she married Alfred Ernest  Jefferson, an iron moulder, they had 6 children.

The family lived in Forbury Rd, Edwin St and Law St, all in the Caversham area.

Alfred died at 20 Law St in 1937 and Jane on 11 February 1943. They are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
