Jessie Gray was born in 1869 in New Zealand – the daughter of William Gray, a tailor, and Jessie Hourie.
Her mother died in 1882 and her father re-married the following year. (See 142 Isabella Gray)
When Jessie signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in Castle St, Dunedin.
She married Duncan Fraser in 1894 and they had four daughters, two who died in infancy.
Jessie died at her home on 26 January 1936 and Duncan died in 1945 – they are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
