Catherine/Kate Mitchell Paterson was born in 1870 in Dunedin – the daughter of Captain Hugh Paterson and Margaret McNaughton. (See 83 Mrs Paterson)
When Catherine signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in Dundas St working as a milliner.
On 24 April 1912, at the age of 41, Catherine married, 32 year old piano repairer, William Murray Hogg.
They had one son the following year.
William died in 1944 – he was cremated and his ashes were interred in his family grave in the Northern Cemetery.
Catherine died on 3 June 1948 – she is buried in the family grave, also in the Northern Cemetery.
