Ellena/Lena Jepson was born in 1865 in New Zealand – the daughter of Nils Jepson and Catherine Sweeney.
Her mother died in 1881 and her father re-married to Mary Wilson (See 172 M Jepson)
When Lena signed the suffrage petition she was living in Dundas St, Dunedin working as a tailoress.
She did not marry and she died on 3 September 1942. She is buried in the family grave in the Northern Cemetery.
