Elizabeth/Lizzie Miller was born in 1868 in New Zealand – the daughter of Robert Miller and Elizabeth Graham McNeill.

She spent her early years at Waitahuna in South Otago before the family moved to Dunedin.
When Elizabeth signed the suffrage petition they were living in George Street and she was working as a tailoress.
Elizabeth married William Clark Kroon, a pastrycook and widower with one daughter, in 1894.
Elizabeth and William had seven children, one who died in infancy.
Elizabeth died on 24 May 1905 when her youngest child was one year old and William died in 1910 -they are buried in the family grave in the Southern Cemetery.
