Louisa Dunstan was born in 1856 in Cornwall – the daughter of Joseph Dunstan, a coal and timber merchant, and Ann Webber.

In 1884 Louisa, accompanied by her sister Ellen (See 72 E E Dunstan) boarded the Ruapehu bound for Invercargill.

When Louisa signed the suffrage petition she was living in Invercargill working as a compositor.

Louisa married David Alexander Stevenson Munro, a gardener, in 1904.

They lived in Christchurch where Louisa died on 4 May 1919 – she is buried in the Sydenham Cemetery.

David re-married in 1921 – he died in 1936 and is buried with his second wife in the Bromley Cemetery.
