Lydia Dixon was born in 1871 in Greymouth – the eldest child of Benjamin and Ann Dixon. (See 534 A Dixon)
When Lydia signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in Greymouth working as a dressmaker.
She later worked in the family stationery shop.
Lydia died on 2 September 1958 in Greymouth – her place of burial is unknown.
