Margaret McFarlane was born in 1869 in New Zealand – the daughter of Archibald McFarlane and Elizabeth Keir.
Her father died in 1875 and her mother remarried in 1879 to Duncan Kerr.
When Margaret signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in Argyle St, South Dunedin.
Margaret did not marry and she died on 3 October 1942 – she is buried with her brother and sister Elizabeth (See 67 Elizabeth Kerr) in the Northern Cemetery.
