Margaret Sutherland was born about 1827.
She does not appear in the 1893 electoral roll but when she signed the suffrage petition she was living in Taieri Rd, Dunedin.
She died on 15 July 1903 at the home of Angus John McMillan in Herbert in North Otago and is buried in the Otepopo Cemetery.
Angus was the step-son of Elizabeth McMillan who signed the petition on the previous line, (See 94 Elizabeth McMillan), which would suggest that Margaret was either an employee or friend of the family.
