Catherine/Kate Miller was born in 1873 in New Zealand – the daughter of David Miller, a grocer, & Ellen McPherson.
Her mother died in 1877 & her father remarried the following year.
When Kate signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in William St, North East Valley, Dunedin working as a machinist.
She died at her home on April 20th 1895 & is buried in the family grave in the Southern Cemetery.
