Isabella Harvey was born about 1839 in Scotland. She married David Greig on 20 December 1866 in Anstruther, Fife, Scotland.
The couple emigrated to Otago shortly after their marriage and their first child was born in New Zealand in 1868. They had a total of seven children.
When Isabella signed the suffrage petition, the family was living in South Dunedin. Her daughters Maggie and Isabella also signed the petition.
The family later moved to Mornington where David died on 22 June 1916.
Isabella died on 8 February 1933 and is buried with her husband in the Southern Cemetery, Dunedin.
