Harriet Elizabeth Burrows was born about 1852.

She married Daniel Joseph Donovan in Victoria, Australia in 1873 and they had one daughter (See 34 Miss Donovan) before they sailed for Otago.

They had a further six children and lived in South Dunedin where Daniel worked as a railway clerk.

Harriet signed the suffrage petition in Begg St Musselburgh as did her daughter Emily.

Daniel died in 1899 at his parents’ home in Ballarat – he is buried in the Ballarat Cemetery.

Harriet remained in Dunedin, she died on 15 December 1934 and is buried in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
