Jane Alison Fawcett was born in 1868 in Dunedin – the eldest child of George Fawcett and Jessie Robertson. (See 129 J Fawcett)
She married William Ings, a gardener, in 1889 and they had a son nine years later.
When Jane signed the suffrage petition they were living at East Taieri.
William died in 1938 – he is buried in the East Taieri Cemetery.
Jane died in Dunedin on 31 July 1943 – she was cremated.
